It pays to reserve your hotel rooms with us directly, rather than through a third-party booking website. As well as the best available rates, we offer a range of extras and goodies as a ‘thank you’.
Book with us direct, and if your plans change, you can move your booking to a new date up to 2pm the day before. You’ll only be charged the difference in price — if there is one. Excludes special event dates.

You’ll need to book with us first, then submit a claim. Once we’ve checked that everything is like for like, we’ll reimburse the difference.

To submit a claim, please contact us within 12 hours and we can provide a checklist to let you know if there is a valid claim not.
Eligibility & exclusions
Best Rate Guaranteed applies only to hotel room bookings, not inclusive packages (such as travel and accommodation packages, theatre or spa breaks, etc.).
Rates covered by Best Rate Guaranteed must be open to the public (without having to sign into a special area) and available for immediate booking.
We don’t accept:
× Group rates
× Corporate rates
× Conference rates
× Promotions offering additional discount after the booking is made (i.e. promotional codes applied afterwards).
Matching room type, prices and bookings
Best Rate Guaranteed applies to the same rate plan. For example, to qualify, prices including food (such as breakfast or dinner) must be exactly the same.
Best Rate Guaranteed only applies to bookings of the same room category, including specific views and add-ons.
Best Rate Guaranteed only applies to the same dates booked on The Imperial Torquay website.
For claims on bookings of two or more consecutive nights at the same hotel, Best Rate Guaranteed is based on price per night, not the total amount of the stay.
Sales conditions on other websites must be the same as those on The Imperial Torquay website (for all nights of the stay). This includes pre-payment/deposit terms and cancellation/alteration terms.
Variations due to foreign exchange rates don’t count.
Claims form and checks
Claims should be made within 12 hours of booking made on our websites and 72 hours before you’re due to arrive at the hotel.
All claims must be verified by The Imperial Torquay. The room type and stay must be available and bookable on the competing website when we make our checks, so that we can confirm the price difference.
If your claim is successful, your booking will be price matched, along with an extra 10% off. We will send confirmation of your new rates. With prepaid reservations, any credit will go towards incidental spending during your stay.
If your claim doesn’t qualify for Best Rate Guaranteed, we’ll let you know by email. If you wish to cancel your direct reservation, please check the sales conditions on our website.
Liability
The Imperial Torquay doesn't accept responsibility for expenses incurred from cancelling a reservation on websites other than our own.
